7 Common Questions About Happiness Answered :

1.  When Will I Be Happy?

Short Answer :

Now!  Too often, we make happiness a conditional emotion by reasoning that if I achieve this, then I will be happy.  If I buy this, then I will be happy.  Happiness does not work that way.  Every single day has happy and unhappy moments.  It is important to indulge in these happy moments when they arrive.  Do not postpone your happiness to somewhere in the future with an if-then argument.

Look for, and appreciate the happiness that comes your way every day.  It does exist!  You could be missing happiness, simply because you are only looking out for ecstasy.  Do not snub contentment because contenment also brings happiness.  Happiness is all about the journey and not the destination.  You need to enjoy the journey.

Short Answer :

Different things make different people happy.  The common element for happiness however is thoughts.  Thoughts make us happy and not necessarily our surroundings.  You can be on a tropical island getaway, but if your thoughts are at work, you will not be happy.  Conversely, you can be stuck in traffic, but if you choose to think about something pleasant, rather than your unhappy surroundings, you will be happier.

7. How Does a Midlife Crisis Happen?

Short Answer :

Lucky Go Happy puts forward the theory that our haves, and our wants are out of balance as we move through life.  As an example, when we are young, we have youth, but want to be grown-up (the future).  When we are old, we finally have that future, but then we want to be young again.

A graph shows that the curve for our wants, intersects with the curve of our needs around the middle of our lives.  Mathematically speaking, we therefore have what we want, and want what we have; albeit in moderation and this results in a midlife crisis.
